A Video Short by Micky Isaac Thomas  [guest post]

In a mysterious penthouse a jolly chubby man is narrating grotesque tales to three people; bizarre chronicles full of blood, gore and art cinema.

Nice. The slow, heavy camera turns the ultramodern architecture of new Trivandrum quite menacing.

Is it really a documentary? I have seen that person in the fim at film festivals.

One of my friend, Sue C, from the US, seeing the short wrote to me:

“to be quite honest, I didn’t understand the message of the video short…
it looked like it was part of a longer movie, so without the beginning or the end
all I could derive was that this man was under investigation for some murders…
and yes, that was dark and mysterious but why not use a dark and mysterious
backdrop for the interrogation then? instead of a bright and airy office space….
or perhaps that was the point – you can always find the dark and mysterious
regardless of how bright and sunny things may seem (?)….also didn’t
understand why the female interrogator kept picking up the phone on the killer’s
desk….not her office, not her desk….

anyway, that’s my two cents……which is not much. please forgive stupid me
for not getting this artsy stuff, lol. “

    hi micky
i came across your film today coz one of sanjeev”s friend wanted to discuss about this film and he was restless.since i havn’t seen the film i insisted to go through the experience before commenting

good work my friend. good that u made a film like this really appreciate your feelings.the dialogs are really effective
i cant stop forcing myself in believing that, its not a slice of your experience. appreciate you for the proper cast who belong to the same clan. good. only a lady like that ( trying to be noiristic, i dont know who she is) can pick up the phone and ask these questions and take the film forward together with the other guy (again idont know who he is ,but i think from his looks he is my friend renjith)
so what? ( as the film is)
    good effort man
hope that my friend sanjeev has written the script
    good effort
you have been considerate and spent enough time for that middle aged man(if not deaf) who is really confident about where the film ends.
    (thanks to bhattathiri)
by the way is it your diploma film in c-dit?
